Magee claimed the vacant British super-middleweight title in December |
Brian Magee has been forced to vacate his British super-middleweight title because of a persistent back injury. Magee was scheduled to defend his crown against Tony Dodson in Liverpool on 28 March but Dodson will now fight fellow Liverpudlian Tony Quigley for the belt. "Brian is disappointed but feels it is too great a risk to fight when not fully prepared," said Magee's promoter Pat Magee. "He hopes to be back in the ring at the end of May," added Magee.
