Banbridge fighter Jason McKay lost to Limerick's Andy Lee in Saturday night's Irish super-middleweight championship bout at the National Stadium in Dublin. The impressive Lee had McKay on the canvas in the second round and continued to dominate before McKay retired at the end of round six. McKay had stepped down from his regular weight of light-heavyweight to take on 23-year-old Lee. McKay had previously lost only one of his 19 professional fights.
