Ex-IBO champion Brian Magee is hoping win another belt on Saturday

Northern Irish fighters Brian Magee and Jason McKay will both fight for titles in Brentwood on Saturday night.

Magee faces Scotland's Stevie McGuire for the British super-middleweight belt while McKay boxes Darren Barker for the Commonwealth middleweight title.

Belfast man Magee is boxing again at super-middleweight after drawing with Tony Oakey in a British light-heavyweight title bout last year.

Banbridge fighter McKay will be a big underdog against unbeaten Barker.

McKay suffered the second of his two career losses when he was stopped by Limerick star Andy Lee last year and he will be taking on a fighter who captured the Commonwealth title by easily outpointing Ben Crampton last year.

Magee and McGuire are contesting the British belt vacated by new WBC world champion Carl Froch.

The Belfast man's handlers are hoping that a victory could earn him a crack at the European title in the near future.

McGuire has claimed 14 wins and a draw in his 15 bouts but he has yet to go 12 rounds in his career.
