Kitchen eager for hometown victory Penzance-based Julie Kitchen fights for her fifth world Thai boxing title in her home town this Sunday. The 31-year-old meets Portugal's Ivanilda Vaz Te for the ISKA title at St John's Hall. "I am recognised as one of the top ladies in the UK now and across the world," she told BBC Spotlight. Kitchen, from Penzance's Touchgloves Gym, has not been beaten for two and a half years and feels confident of adding a fifth title. "I've fought girls from 11 different countries now and have clocked up a lot of wins so I'm at the top of my game," she added. The mother of nine-year-old twins only took up the sport because she wanted to lose weight after the birth of her daughters.
