The guys that started the match last week put in a good performance and the run-ons came in and did their job as well, so it's a good vote of confidence from Steve Hansen to keep the same team.

We showed we were on the same level as the South Africans for a lot of the game.

We did lose a couple of tries at the end of the first half that were avoidable, but the guys have battled well and have trained hard this week to turn things around.

One of the major problems was the counter-attacks launched by South Africa - especially with quick tap penalties - worked very well for them.

Colin gets down to some serious concentration

So we've worked on scrambling back in defence, covering and keeping our focus, not turning our backs on the South Africans when they have the ball.

It's a shame that a few players aren't going to get onto the playing field and win their first cap on this tour and that's unfortunate.

But we're not here to make up the numbers - we're here to try to win rugby matches.

If every player looks deep inside themselves I'm sure we can lift our performance - there's no time in a game where you should sit back and relax but maybe we did that last week.

As long as we believe we can beat the Springboks then we can do it.

The guys have learnt a lot of things out here about believing in themselves and changing their work ethic under the new regime.

We often talk about new dawns for Welsh rugby but we're just taking one step at a time.
