Elena Likhovtseva's last singles title came in 1997 but she remains a solid performer on the tour, and a world-class doubles player.
The Russian has already picked up two doubles titles this season to add to her career total of 17.
In the singles this year, her most impressive performance came at the Qatar Open, where she made it to the final before losing to Anastasia Myskina, followed by a quarter-final appearance at the German Open.
But the highlight of her career so far came at last year's Wimbledon.
She reached the quarter-finals in the singles, beating fifth seed Kim Clijsters, and she also won her first Grand Slam title in the mixed doubles with Mahesh Bhupathi.
Likhovtseva will be hoping to repeat that success this year to make up for the disappointment of suffering first round exits at the French and Australian Opens.
