Going by statistics, it appears that Wimbledon is Tanasugarn's favourite surface.
The player, who holds dual United States and Thai nationality, has reached the last 16 of the Championships on five successive occasions.
The 26-year-old is far more successful on the doubles circuit having won three titles on the WTA Tour, although she did finally break her singles duck at Hyderabad this year.
Tanasugarn has had mixed fortunes in the season's other two Grand Slams.
She did well to reach the third round of the Australian Open, but was then drawn against number one seed Serena Williams.
And at the French Open, where her performances over the years have been patchy, she fell to qualifier Fabiola Zuluaga.
Tanasugarn is held in high regard back in Thailand and was asked to carry their national flag into the Olympic Stadium at the 1996 Atlanta Games.
