While Rusedski would never come closer to a Grand Slam than he did in 1997, he did rack up 15 other titles as well as posting the fastest serve in history at 149mph (since beaten by Andy Roddick).
In 1998, Rusedski beat Pete Sampras to capture what is now the Paris Masters and a year later, he lifted the Grand Slam Cup, an event featuring the year's best Grand Slam performers.
His last title came in Newport in 2005 on the same court he won his first trophy 12 years earlier. "I like to win at least one title a year," said Rusedski. In fact, the Briton suffered three barren years: 1994, when he was a rising star, 2000, when he was injured, and 2006.
