Rusedski met acting student Lucy Connor in 1991 when she was a ball-girl at a tournament he was playing in and they have been together ever since, marrying in September 1999.

Unlike Henman's wife Lucy, Mrs Rusedski has never been shy about supporting her husband from the players' box and she has suffered more than most during Rusedski's rollercoaster career.

In 1997, British tabloid the Daily Mirror was moved to write a comparison piece on the "lovely Lucys", describing Rusedski's wife as "a stunning brunette with the looks of Liz Hurley". The newspaper declared the "love match" a "tiebreak".
