Andre Agassi's career in pictures
There is plenty to back up Agassi's credentials as one of the greatest players in history.
A record 17 of his 60 titles came in Masters events. He is the only player to have won seven of the nine prestigious tournaments, with Hamburg and Monte Carlo the only ones missing from his trophy cabinet.
And in 2000, the American became the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to reach four consecutive Grand Slam finals. The run stretched from his 1999 French Open victory to his Australian Open triumph the following year. Sampras denied him all four titles with victory in the Wimbledon final.
