Andre Agassi's career in pictures
Agassi didn't bother to make the long trip Down Under for the first eight years of his career but once he got to the Australian Open in 1995, he wasted no time showing the Aussies what they'd been missing.
He dropped one set (against Pete Sampras in the final) before lifting the trophy in '95, and it only got better.
Between 2000 and 2003, he was undefeated at Melbourne Park, winning a record-breaking 21 straight matches, and culminating in his eighth Grand Slam title - putting him fifth on the all-time list alongside the likes of Jimmy Connors, Ivan Lendl and Fred Perry.
