In 1992, there was his relationship with Barbra Streisand, a woman 28 years his senior who was reportedly behind Agassi's decision to shave his chest and back hair, and five years later, he married actress and model Brooke Shields, a reportedly turbulent relationship which coincided with a dramatic career slump.

Before his divorce was finalised in 1999, Agassi had caused another sensation by getting together with fellow tennis great Steffi Graf. Married since 2001, they now have two children, son Jaden, four, and daughter Jaz, two.
