Club-by-club guide - Leicester
Toby Flood and Tigers coach Heyneke Meyer

Head coach: Heyneke Meyer
Captain:
Martin Corry
Ground: Welford Road (17,498 capacity)
Last season:
GP - 4th (lost to Wasps in Grand Final) HC - group stages
England elite squad: 8 (Varndell, Hipkiss, Flood, Ellis, Chuter, Croft, Moody, Crane)

A trophy-less season is just not good enough at Welford Road as Marcelo Loffreda, six months after guiding Argentina to the World Cup semi-finals, became the latest coach to discover. Not even a Premiership final could save him.

South African Heyneke Meyer, who led the Blue Bulls to Super 14 glory in 2007, has now been given the task of recreating the winning Tigers template of old.

Fly-halves Toby Flood and Derick Hougaard have been added to a squad already brimming with talent, and while international call-ups will have an impact, another strong challenge is expected.

"We have to be fitter, better organised and mentally we have to be stronger. We are not going to talk about what we are going to do and how we are going to do it in public, we have set our targets and we are going to fight on all fronts."
Forwards coach Richard Cockerill
