Tindall's barnstorming break late on to set up Delon Armitage's try against Ireland reminded us that the rejuvenated 2003 World Cup winner is more than just a crash-ball merchant. Underused as a playmaker by England, his experience and cool head, allied to an undoubted physical presence, may do a job for the Lions. A growing groundswell of opinion that he should take over the England captaincy from Steve Borthwick helps the cause. VERDICT: A long way from a Test starter at the moment but could prove a useful tourist. The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites |
