Playing alongside certain Lions tourist David Wallace and rising star Jamie Heaslip, Ferris is coming into his own as a crucial member of the Ireland back row. The 23-year-old Ulster flanker has aggression in abundance, an attribute the Lions will need against the Springboks, and against England his line-out presence, defence and general work rate around Croke Park was impressive. Maybe it's a Lions tour too early, but he is certainly one to keep an eye on. VERDICT: Plenty of competition for Lions back-row spots but Ferris is going in the right direction.
