Ireland's talisman showed again why he ranks as a world-class player. O'Driscoll grabbed the game against England by the scruff of the neck when a disfunctioning Ireland really needed him. He slotted a drop-goal to nudge Ireland into a 6-3 lead after Ronan O'Gara had missed two penalties, and showed his versatility with a forwards-like try from close range. "He's lost weight, he's focused, he's clued in, he's taking control," said former Ireland skipper Keith Wood. VERDICT: Far from doubts over his selection, O'Driscoll should now be captain.
