Lions watch - Jamie Roberts

Jamie Roberts cuts loose for Wales at Murrayfield

Was supposed to partner Gavin Henson against Scotland but alongside Tom Shanklin, the Blues centre ensured Wales did not miss the perma-tanned one.

Wales' second highest ball-carrier (10) behind Andy Powell (12), his thundering break led to Leigh Halfpenny's try and strong defence helped him win the man-of-the-match award.

"He was fantastic, awesome, especially in the first half," said ex-Wales fly-half Jonathan Davies. "He carried the ball well, had great angles and organised the defence."

VERDICT: Has the skill and strength to be part of the Welsh contingent in South Africa
