Steve Borthwick's captaincy is again under intense scrutiny after another uninspired performance against Italy. The Saracens lock was part of an efficient England line-out unit but was an ineffective ball-carrier, twice driven back in the tackle. With the likes of Paul O'Connell and Alun Wyn Jones turning in more powerful displays for Ireland and Wales respectively, it is hard to see the England skipper featuring in the Lions shake-up on current form. VERDICT: Needs some massive performances if he is even to make his first Lions squad, let alone the Test team
