Sir Chris Hoy is a surprise absentee, while Mark Cavendish is a surprise inclusion in the Great Britain squad.
Chris' hip injury could benefit him in the long term, with his goal being to repeat his Beijing Olympic performance at London 2012.
He will lose form but this might help him regain his drive after a whirlwind two years as he will have to displace some of the younger lads on his return.
It was nice to see Cav's inclusion but it came as a real surprise as he has been concentrating on the road and been in great form since the Olympics.
It just shows what a draw riding for Great Britain can be and I think he will win a medal, either in the madison or the scratch race.
With the way he has been riding on the road he will be confident, despite his lack of track preparation.
Thursday, 1810 GMT approx: Men's 15km scratch race
Saturday, 1835 GMT approx: Men's 50km madison final
