Like most of the new venues, the China Agricultural University Gymnasium - to the west of the main Olympic Green area - has an eye-catching facade.
Work began on the 8,000-capacity venue in October 2005 and was completed in just over two years. It hosted wrestling's junior world championships in August 2007.
Although the gymnasium will only be used for wrestling during the Olympics, sports such as badminton, table tennis, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball and handball will be played there after the Games.
