Lindgren is convinced Wolves have a stronger line-up in 2009

Wolverhampton rider Freddie Lindgren is convinced the team are set for better things in the 2009 Elite League.

After surviving a relegation play-off last season, a new-look line-up started this year with a bang, beating Coventry 52-41 in the Grand Challenge first leg.

"I thought we made a good start to the season in our home meeting on Monday," said Lindgren, who has passed on the captain's role to Peter Karlsson.

"It would be great if we can get a result at Coventry on Friday night."

The Grand Prix star has stayed in England this week to tune-up his machinery for the new season and to keep an eye on his little brother Ludvig who is also riding in the UK.

"I went to watch my brother in Birmingham on Wednesday and I've enjoyed spending some time here."

Following Friday's return match with Coventry, Lindgren stays on for Sunday's Billy Hamill farewell meeting at Monmore Green (1600GMT).
