Ferrari's home Italian Grand Prix was a momentous weekend - Schumacher took his 90th win, cut Alonso's lead to just two points and then announced his retirement.

But, yet again, Renault were left to curse their misfortune with Monza marred by a controversial decision in qualifying.

Demoted to 10th on the grid for allegedly blocking Ferrari's Felipe Massa, Alonso battled back to third in the race before retiring with engine failure.
