Tranmere have signed West Bromwich Albion midfielder Joss Labadie on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old has had two previous loan spells at Cheltenham Town and Shrewsbury Town, scoring five times in 14 appearances for the Shropshire side.
"Joss is a very promising young midfielder and I'm delighted to have signed him on loan," said Rovers manager Les Parry.
"He's strong, industrious and will add options in the centre of the pitch."
Parry added: "I'd like to thank West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo for allowing Joss to come on loan to us.
"We're still aiming to bring in a striker and a left back before the deadline on Thursday afternoon."
