Wellens is set to miss St Helens' Easter programme of games

St Helens full-back Paul Wellens has been ruled out of action for a month with a torn thigh muscle.

The 30-year-old suffered the injury during Friday's 28-18 Super League win against Warrington.

St Helens will be without him for Sunday's trip to third-placed Huddersfield and games against Wigan and Castleford over Easter.

Wellens' natural replacement Jonny Lomax is also injured meaning Matt Gidley is likely to switch from centre.
