Institute appoint Beckett as boss
Liam Beckett
Liam Beckett resigned as Cliftonville manager in July
Former Cliftonville manager Liam Beckett has been appointed as the new Institute boss.

Beckett takes over the struggling Irish Premier League club after Pascal Vaudequin's resignation last week.

The ex-Coleraine star said he was pleased to be working for a club that is "as ambitious as me".

"They have some good players but equally important, they have a very good committee. I am delighted to accept the job," said Beckett.

"The club is in a difficult situation but I don't seem to go to clubs that are sitting in comfort zones.

"I had to do it at Ballymoney and Cliftonville but I was delighted with the way things have turned out at Cliftonville and if things go as well at Institute, I'll be very pleased."

Institute currently occupy 14th place in the 16-team Carnegie Irish Premier League table.
