Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has won the "Player of the Round" award for the FA Cup fifth round. The England international helped his side to a narrow 1-0 victory over Manchester United in round five.
He received 59% of the 28,757 votes cast by supporters on the Football Association's official website.
The other candidates were Manchester City's Micah Richards, Colchester's Wayne Brown, Middlesbrough's Yakubu and Maik Taylor of Birmingham.
Carragher receives an engraved silver salver, a VIP seat at the 2006 FA Cup Final - now to be held in Cardiff - and �1,000 worth of Umbro kit for a local school, club or organisation.
He joins Bolton's Ricardo Gardner, Nuneaton's Gez Murphy, Doncaster's Dave Mulligan, Northwich's Paul Brayson (who won the award twice), Eastbourne's Stuart Tuck, Leamington's Alex Rodman and Gosport Borough's Jamie Laidlaw in this season's "Team of the FA Cup".
