Nuneaton Borough striker Gez Murphy has been named as the FA Cup's "Player of the Round" for the third round. Murphy, who scored the penalty which earned a replay with Middlesbrough, beat Southampton's Theo Walcott by less than 1% of the votes on the FA website.
Also in contention were three keepers - Leyton Orient's Glyn Garner, Burton's Saul Deeney and Tamworth's Scott Bevan.
Murphy will receive an engraved silver salver and a VIP seat at the 2006 FA Cup Final.
He also wins �1000 worth of Umbro football kit for a local school, club or organisation of his choice.
He joins Doncaster's Dave Mulligan, Northwich's Paul Brayson (who won the award twice), Eastbourne's Stuart Tuck, Leamington's Alex Rodman and Gosport Borough's Jamie Laidlaw in this season's "Team of the FA Cup".
