Portugal, Argentina, oh and Romania
The club's worldwide recruitment has seen the arrival of players from Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Sweden, Burkina Faso, the Ivory Coast and Canada.
At one point last season, Cluj boasted eight Portuguese players in their squad, more than any other football club in the world outside of Portugal.
Their presence is explained by Cluj's "feeder" relationship with Benfica, with the Portuguese giants loaning out players for valuable overseas experience.
Executive president Iuliu Muresan believes the club's foreign players have brought a winning mentality to the side.
Cluj have seven Romanian players in their squad, with only goalkeeper Eduard Stancioui and vice-captain Eugen Trica having international experience.
But there is home-grown promise in Ciprian Deac, an under-21 international winger who narrowly missed out on selection for Romania at Euro 2008.
