Without key pacemen Shoaib and Asif, Inzamam was always going to face a tough task organising a serious World Cup challenge in the Caribbean in March 2007.

But there was still no way anyone could have predicted the events that followed - a dismal defeat by the hosts and a shock reverse against minnows Ireland.
