Scotland are keen to set up regular matches with England after booking a place in the 2007 World Cup finals. Thursday's 98-run over Holland earned Andy Moles' side a place in the ICC Trophy semi-finals on Saturday.
It also confirmed the Scots would be taking on the cricketing elite in the West Indies in two years.
Cricket Scotland chief executive Roddy Smith said: "I have already opened talks with the English about the possibility of matches against them."
Smith added that the England management were "quite keen" to take on their rival from north of the border.

"We could see them in Edinburgh as early as next summer and that would be a tremendous draw for the public," he said.
"Games against England could be a regular fixture on the calendar."
The Scots boast two former England internationals in their ranks in Gavin Hamilton, who played one Test, and Dougie Brown, who played in a number of one-day internationals.
Moles' side, under the guise of the Scottish Saltires - and made up of slightly different players - is also completing the final season of a three-year stint against the counties in Division Two of the Totesport league.
Ireland and Canada are the other two semi-finalists in the ICC Trophy, which is being played in Ireland.
All four teams reaching that stage are assure of going to the West Indies in 2007, with one further lucky loser due to take the fifth place up for grabs.
