Virender Sehwag criticised the wicket in Bangalore after batting India into a position from which they should draw the final Test in Bangalore.
Sehwag's majestic 201 took the hosts to 379-6 in reply to Pakistan's 570.
Afterwards, he said: "In my opinion the wicket is too flat. There's nothing for the bowlers and my aim was to stay there for as long as possible.
"I was trying to play through the whole day but unfortunately I got out just after getting to 200."
Sehwag said batting throughout Saturday was an easier task than facing an awkward 10-over spell before stumps just before stumps on Friday.
He went on: "In the morning, [Mohammad] Sami bowled very quickly, a great line and length.
"But overall it doesn't matter which sessions you score your runs in."
He said he was trying to learn not to get out when well set, as that could damage the team's prospects in a Test match.
"When I got out in Melbourne for 195 we lost that Test match because of me so if I'm batting in the last session I'm trying to learn more about how to play long inings.
"I'm talking to Rahul [Dravid] and Sachin [Tendulkar] about it.
