MK Dons and Crawley shared the points after a goalless draw at Stadium MK.

Both sides passed up opportunities in a scrappy game, ending up with a result that did little to aid MK Dons' automatic promotion bid or Crawley's survival aspirations.

An early chance came for the visitors as Lewis Richards' shot flashed across goal and just wide.

MK Dons nearly took the lead around the half-hour mark when Alex Gilbey's header was well saved by Jacob Chapman, and the hosts came close again when Rushian Hepburn-Murphy's strike was blocked.

Chapman denied the home side once more after the break with a good save to keep out Ben Wiles.

Craig MacGillivray would also be called upon, with the Dons keeper saving strikes by Klaidi Lolos and Danilo Orsi.

Both sides missed chances late on, as Chapman denied Scott Hogan before MacGillivray's save kept out Ronan Darcy.

But neither side could find what would have been a winning goal late on, ending in the points being shared.
