UEFA Europa League
All competitions
Roma and Stuttgart have never faced previously in European competition – Roma’s last game against a German opponent was in a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Europa League in January 2025.
Stuttgart have won just two out of 13 major European games against Italian sides (D4 L7), beating Torino 1-0 in September 1979 and Juventus 1-0 in October 2024.
Following wins in their last three UEFA Europa League games, Roma are looking to win four in a row for the first time since a run of five in the 2020-21 campaign under Paulo Fonseca.
From MD4 onwards, Stuttgart and Roma are two of five sides with 100% win records, winning all three of their respective games, while Stuttgart have netted the most goals in that time (10).
Roma’s Bryan Cristante needs one more appearance to go into outright third place on the most appearances in the UEFA Europa League (since 2009-10) – he has currently played 66 games (level with Aleksandar Dragovic), with only Dries Mertens (73) and Rui Patricio (69) playing more.
