Truro supporters made a round trip of more than 760 miles to watch the game
Ollie Pearce's first-half hat-trick put York on their way to a 4-0 win over National League basement dwellers Truro City.
The division's top scorer took his tally for the season to 20 and helped lift his side back to within a point of top-of-the-table Rochdale.
Pearce headed in Dan Batty's cross inside five minutes and doubled the advantage with 36 gone when he ran through onto a quick free-kick from Alex Hunt.
He completed his treble in first-half added time and Alex Newby rounded off the scoring nine minutes from time.
The loss leaves Truro two points adrift at the bottom of the table and five points from safety at the halfway stage of their maiden season in the fifth tier.
