Boreham Wood made it four wins in five league games by beating Halifax at Meadow Park to maintain their National League promotion challenge.
Lewis Richardson fired the hosts into an interval lead and Eric Sousa converted a second-half rebound before Owen Devonport's late consolation for Halifax.
Visiting goalkeeper Sam Johnson made several fine saves in either half, but was beaten by Richardson's 19th-minute effort after good work by Tom White and Sousa.
The home side doubled their lead in the 67th minute when Sousa turned home a rebound after Richardson's shot had been saved and although Devonport pulled one back in time added on, it was too little too late for Halifax.
