Peterborough's rise up the League One table continued as they defeated sixth-placed Bolton at the Weston Homes Stadium.

After struggling badly in the first few months of the season, the Posh now find themselves 10th in the standings and four points off the play-off places, but for the Trotters this was a fourth game without a win.

Peterborough's Jimmy-Jay Morgan found the breakthrough after 34 minutes when he ran onto Harry Leonard's flick from goalkeeper Alex Bass' long kick and finished into the bottom corner.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 54th minute when Archie Collins' pass found Matt Garbett in space inside the area and the New Zealand international produced a calm placed finish.

Bolton looked to be back in the game after 65 minutes when Max Conway's excellent cross was fired into the top corner by substitute Sam Dalby.

However, within a minute, the hosts restored their two-goal cushion as Kyrell Lisbie's shot took a slight deflection in beating Trotters goalkeeper Tyler Miller at his near post.
