St Mirren manager Craig McLeish tells BBC Scotland: "Second half, our discipline and shape defensively... they didn't create clear-cut chances that hurt us.
"But I want to play the way we did in the first half for 90 minutes. I know that's probably not realistic. There'll be times we have to suffer without the ball. We had to do that in the second half, but we were solid defensively.
"The first half was great. It's what we want it to look like, played with real quality, but disappointed we didn't get a goal to follow the first one.
"Someone just told me it's our first win here in over 10 years. Just delighted to get another three points."

So it sounds like Rangers will be keeping Nicolas Raskin, but does the "work with what we've got" line from Derek McInnes suggest their transfer business is done?
They have been heavily linked with Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy.

More from Rangers manager Derek McInnes on the transfer window, which slams shut at 17:00 BST tomorrow: "It seems to have been the longest window I can remember - so much going on. For us now, it will do everybody good if we can get the window shut and work with what we've got.
"Players always settle a wee bit more. We've made some good signings, very young as you can see at times, but I'm confident we've got good talent here that can give us lots of encouragement between now and January and then see where we are.
"We've now got two home games against Motherwell and St Mirren and hopefully we can be as good as we were in the best spells today while making it more of a 90-minute performance.
"I'm just glad I'm able to choose [Nicolas Raskin] tonight. We can do with his experience in there. I thought he got better in the second half. Obviously delighted if we manage to hold on to him and it looks like we will."
FT: Falkirk 1-2 Rangers
Rangers boss Derek McInnes tells BBC Scotland: "Pleased with the win, pleased with certain aspects of it. Our start was good - a brilliant goal from Lawrence [Shankland] - and we passed up one or two other opportunities.
"The pitch was difficult - very greasy and slippy. We invited unnecessary pressure on ourselves, no more than the equaliser. I thought Falkirk were the better team for a 15-minute period in the second half and we were fortunate not to concede.
"The characteristics and strength of the team to bounce back and get the win was brilliant, a lovely finish again from Lawrence.
"He passed up a really good chance, but he didn't let him affect him and his second goal is a lovely calm finish from such an important player. Delighted for him, delighted for the team to pick up another three points.
"We are looking for learnings and improvements as we go along, but as long as you can win games as you try to get better. It's no bad thing to win when you're not at your best.
"We can fine tune some of the attacking play, but we've got to not give too much encouragement to our opponents."

Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann tells BBC Scotland: "You can see the boys are lacking a wee bit of confidence just now. Losing an early goal has been an Achilles heel.
"It's just trying to get them to understand there's a lot of time left in the game and I felt they got themselves back into the match. Dominated the second half without looking like we were going to get back to our best.
"We just need that bit of a break. It's hard sometimes. I felt it last year when I came in, to dig deep. The confidence is low.
"But they really stood up in the second half, really went at it. We've got to keep going, keep believing, preparing right. It'll turn for them, without question."

Aberdeen boss Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "It's been a tough few days. I thought we lacked belief in the first half, we were way too passive for the first goal and we got punished by how clinical Celtic were.
"We hit the crossbar at 2-0, which could change the game, they go up the other end and we make a mistake and the game is effectively over.
"The positive I can take is I got a response second half to an extent. At least we showed a belief that we could play and we could pass.
"Our season won't be defined by that, we won't let it be defined by that. It's up to us to respond on Saturday with a performance.
"By the time we were brave it was too late and we got punished from a clinical side. They beat LASK 3-0 here, who are a very good side, much better than us, so we won't be defined by this.
"I think I've got a fair idea [of my best XI]. I've signed 13 players, close to 16 have gone out. There's a lot of change, it was never ever going to be easy, it was never ever going to be without bumps in the road, and we've had a few."

Those papers Martin O'Neill said need signed must've been done very quickly because Celtic have just confirmed the arrival of Joel van den Berg from PSV Eindhoven on a four-year deal.
The 19-year-old only played six times for PSV's first team but thrived at youth level.

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill tells BBC Scotland: "We played very well. We seemed to control the game for the most part and I thought the first goal was a big moment because the game was still in the balance.
"Overall I'm just delighted with the win, the goals we scored and pretty pleased with the display.
"He's [Camilo Duran] a terrific player. He has set the tone for us since the beginning of the season. He's playing in a position which is really strong for him but he can play in a number of positions, he's that good."
On imminent signing Joel van den Berg, O'Neill adds: "I think there are a few papers to sign at this minute, maybe that can be done this evening. We want him, we need him, I'll be delighted when it's done."
When asked about any further transfer, he jokes: "I have done very well giving you all this information."

A late St Johnstone equaliser frustrated hosts Dundee who had to make do with a Scottish Premiership point to extend their impressive recent run in the meeting between the sides.
Steven Pressley's men have now lost only one of the last 11 meetings with the Perth club, who showed good battling qualities to make sure they didn't leave empty-handed.
Both goals came from substitutes in the final few minutes, with Josh Fowler replying almost immediately for Saints after Charlie Reilly headed Dundee into the lead.
The late goal flurry was a welcome improvement on what had gone before.
With just three minutes remaining and the game heading for a stalemate, Joe Westley looped a header on to the crossbar and Reilly had the simplest of tasks to nod in the rebound.
St Johnstone had other ideas, however, and were quickly level when Fowler showed excellent composure to curl a powerful shot beyond Owen Goodman in the home goal.
Westley will be feeling his side should have claimed the victory, spurning a glorious chance shortly after half-time when he was played clean through.
Home keeper Owen Goodman was beaten in the opening period by Taylor Steven's deflected effort, but referee Ross Hardie spotted an infringement and instantly ruled it out.

Dundee have blown hot and cold so far this season, and did exactly that within the same game here.
A poor first half showing was followed by an improvement after the break and the squandering of the best opportunity of the match.
Only Westley knows how he failed to net when clean through.
There will be parts of the game manager Steven Pressley will be happy with, but he will no doubt be asking his men to be better on the ball for the full 90 minutes.
He's guided his side through two derbies against Dundee United and now St Johnstone, however, taking four from a possible six points.
Given the frenetic nature of these occasions, which frequently replace quality with blood and thunder, he may well be satisfied with that tally.
Pre-match, manager Simo Valakari said he wanted to prioritise results over performance, having seen his side lose the last two matches while playing pretty well.
Once again, he'll be frustrated that his men did many good things, particularly in the first period, but couldn't find the finishes to give them all three points.
It could, of course, have been a whole lot worse given they trailed late on in the game so the fact his side bounced back from Dundee's opener to claim a point will be a source of some satisfaction.
A draw at Dens is no disaster and four points from their opening four games is not a bad way to mark their return to the division.
If they find more of a clinical edge, St Johnstone will pose plenty of problems for others in the division as the season goes on.
Dundee manager Steven Pressley: "To take the lead so late on and not quite see it through is disappointing.
"There are some good learnings from tonight, we're evolving all the time, we know the areas we must improve in. We want to get more control of the ball, to have more sustained attacks and we're going to work extremely hard on that."
St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari: " We played very well. To come here and control the game the way we did, it was very, very good.
"It would have been a pity - sad even - if we didn't even get a point from this match. But that's football: you can't feel sorry for yourself. Our players, they knew that and, even though we conceded late on, we kept pushing and got our goal.
"One point, we accept that. We just need to keep going. Our players, how they performed today, I've very happy with that."
