On paper, Spurs' players as an overall group are better than West Ham's and Forest's. However, in practice, Spurs' players are worse, and therefore I predict they will end up 18th.

I have been saying for ages that Leeds will go again. No idea why they don't get a mention. Getting relegated for them is a habit. They have spent 18 years of the Premier League era out of it. IF spurs win tonight, they will be above Leeds.

What we can all agree on is this hasn’t been a standard Premier League season. It’s been absolutely bonkers and unpredictable. I’m not shocked by anything that happens anymore, but a Spurs relegation would sum this season up.

But also go on to win the Champions League? Now that would be a first...

  11. Is the final day shaping up to be an all-timer?published at 14:15 GMT

Wolves may not have enough time to turn things around this season, but it is still shaping up for a classic relegation run-in.

It seems to have been a while since we've had a final day packed with drama from a relegation standpoint.

Long gone are the days we'd be sat around watching the table change by the minute with all three teams in the drop zone having the possibility of survival.

However, we could well be running it back this year.

And looking at the current table, there are some monstrous games involving those down the bottom on the Premier League's final day.

    Final day fixtures:

    • Burnley v Wolves
    • Crystal Palace v Arsenal
    • Nottingham Forest v Bournemouth
    • Tottenham v Everton
    • West Ham v Leeds
  12. 'We're turning things round from where I picked things up'published at 14:13 GMT

Wolves v Liverpool (Fri, 20:00 GMT)

    Wolves

Over the last 10 Premier League games, Wolves are 13th in the form table, with 13 points from a possible 30.

Wolves boss Rob Edwards was asked in his FA Cup pre-match press conference whether, after recent results, he believes they can turn things around and escape relegation: "We believe we can turn things around, and we're showing that now. But we know as well it's going to be a long-term thing, so we can turn things around from where we picked things up."

Edwards added that he did not understand the question: "I'm not sure what you're talking about. When you say turn things around, what do you mean by that?"

The journalist in question was talking about escaping relegation, while Edwards thought it was in reference to the long-term fortunes of the club, potentially rebuilding in the Championship next season.

Edwards added: "I'm really happy that the fans are able to celebrate a couple of really good wins in succession, and it feels like there's a really good feel around the football club."

  13. Spurs rock bottom of form tablepublished at 14:07 GMT

In fact, over the last 10 games, no team is in worse form than Tottenham Hotspur.

If the Premier League table was based solely on the last 10 matches played, Spurs would be rock bottom, winless and staring relegation in the face.

    Fortunately for them, it isn't.

With that said, it isn't looking good.

Tottenham have picked up just four points from the last 30 available in the league and are the only team in that period to have not registered a win.

They have drawn four times and tasted defeat six times in the last 10, with all of those around them picking up more points.

Burnley are 19th with seven points in that same period, while Spurs' opponents on Thursday, Crystal Palace, are in 18th with nine points.

Kier and Tom - you are both right, of course.

Tottenham are more used to battling at the other end of the table, which is best exemplified by the fact they are preparing for a last-16 tie in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid.

They earned their place in the Champions League this season by winning last season's Europa League, a competition they qualified for via their league position under Ange Postecoglou in the 2023-24 campaign.

But after finishing 17th in the Premier League last season, Spurs are struggling with similarly poor league form this campaign...

Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo was understandably upbeat about West Ham's chances after Wednesday's victory at Fulham: "We fight until the end and it means a lot to us, it means a lot to our fans that were huge today, the help that they gave us."

On the trajectory of the team: "We are improving game by game. It can happen, games like Liverpool [where they lost 5-2], but the confidence is there, and the boys are working very hard, very committed, knowing that the situation that we are [in] doesn't change anything. We are focused on ourselves and keep going."

And goalscorer Elliot Anderson was clear about the importance of his equaliser at Manchester City, and the impact it could have on Nottingham Forest's survival chances.

The England midfielder told TNT Sports: "It was massive, obviously we've had a poor run, we knew coming here we would have to fight and work hard because they are a top side. We dug out a point, we are really happy.

"It keeps us pushing, we've got such a team spirit. I couldn't fault the effort of the lads, I thought we fought really hard today."

Conversely, Nottingham Forest boss Vitor Pereira was feeling very positive after Wednesday's draw at Manchester City, despite slipping closer - in terms of points - to the relegation places: "Overall, I am happy with the performance, and it is very positive to see our future together.

"I am very positive, I believe a lot in the quality of the players. I believe with a little bit of time, I hope next week, we can increase our level. They have quality, we are organised, and I believe with this spirit we have the conditions to get points everywhere.

"[I have had only] two training sessions with the team, because the other ones were to recover the team, not to work [on new ideas]."

Sometimes it's hard to stay positive Paul.

Tottenham interim boss Igor Tudor admitted as much in his post-match comments after defeat to Fulham, but also said he would look forward to tonight's match at home to Crystal Palace with positivity: "I feel better now. Of course, there was emotions and some disappointment after the game because we are working hard with the players on what they need to do, but the result didn't come.

"Of course, it was a little bit disappointing, but that's how we should feel [after a game like that]. We need to be angry and disappointed. I won't be the guy who says everything is perfect, smiles and acts like nothing has happened.

"Also, it's about me, personally, sending a message to everyone that I do not accept the situation - but we move on. We had a good but short period to prepare for this next game and I have seen the guys react really well.

"We need to be optimistic about tomorrow's game. We play at home against a good team, but we're in our stadium and in front of our fans."
