Solihull's victory was their first of the season in the National League

Goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan was one of Solihull's scorers as they won at National League bottom club Torquay.

The Gulls, managerless since the sacking of Kevin Nicholson last week, were left embarrassed in the 74th minute when Vaughan's clearance bounced over opposite number Dan Lavercombe and into the net to make it 2-0.

It followed a 47th-minute effort from Tahvon Campbell, who headed in after Oladapo Afolayan's corner was flicked his way by Darren Carter.

Torquay pulled a goal back a minute after Vaughan's through Jon-Paul Pittman but could not prevent themselves from slumping to a fifth straight defeat.
