Fraz Watt
Chunky was one of the first BMXers I met when I moved to Glasgow. As his nickname suggest, he's a big lad and used to go through parts like billy-o. Times have changed though, and Fraz (as he's also known) now rides one of the most pimped out bikes in Scotland; a bike which he puts to good use with all kinds of technical riding palaver and huge manual lines.

Intro
My Name's Fraser Watt, fae Glasgow.

Fraser What?

**** ye! [laughs]

How long have you been riding?
Six or seven years.

Fraz: x-up

How did you get into it?
Good question, man! Erm, probably just seeing everyone kicking about here (Kelvingrove Park) and I decided to copy them. Tryin' to look cool [laughs].

What was your first bike?
A Haro Zippo - a chrome one with twin top tubes and all that jazz [laughs].

What was the first trick you learnt?
Barspin on the ground, probably. I dunno. these are hard questions, man!

Fraz: fufanu

Who did you look up to when you started riding?
Probably seeing Grant and all that maybe, down here. They were the first people I seen riding proper. Yeah - Grant and Movie and Ian from the bike shop as well.

How many facial scars did you have before you started riding?
'Bout 25.

And how many do you have now?
105 [laughs].

What's the best way to get a facial scar?
Get bit by a dog. Poke a dog's ass [laughs]. You can't put all this on the website, can you?

You seem to be more into a tech-style of riding, would you agree?
Fraz: 180

Aye, it's just laziness. Nah, I quite like messin' about on wee stuff like curbs and all that, you know. if there's big stuff as well then I'll get into it, but I'm a lazy b***** you know? And I like just messing about on all the wee quarters.

What have you scared yourself most doing?
Erm...[to Keith]..what trick have I done? What's been rad?

What about when you first started?
Hopping over a handrail. [to Keith] Remember that? Aye - I was s****** it at that.

Fraz: tailwhip

What was the thing you battered yourself most on?
That curb. I was going to jump a gap and it was dark and I looked the other way and see how you get those wee curb stones in carparks? I just hit one of those, full speed. but there was gaps in between them and I hit it and went over my bars and then smashed my face of the side of another one.

Any breakages?
Nah - just some more facial scars [laughs]. So that's another way to get them - ride into curbs, fast.
