Are you just riding BMX at the moment?
Ive been riding BMX for the last year, but I rode downhill before that.
Have you given up mountain bikes then?
Ive not given up riding them but Ive given up racing them.
Whys that?
I dont like the people that much anymore [laughs].
Is there too much bickering or something?
Theyre all just getting pathetic and its all about winning, and theres no-one just enjoying the sport any more.
So how long have you had this bike?
Ive had the new bike since November.
Are you pleased with it?
Id like to get lower handlebars but thats about it. Im quite happy with it. I like the frame. Its longer than my last one and its a lot easier for manualling and jumping and I can move about a bit more on my bike. Its all quite heavy though, I like my heavy bike [laughs].
So you havent bought into the light bikes craze?
They just brake easier and it doesnt feel as nice in the air. Its harder controling it [Ed: Fergus is now riding a super light-weight Josh Stricker frame. Shocking!]
Do you have any tricks or things that youre working on at the moment?
Ive not really got any bit aims just the now. Im just trying to get better at everything, and do more lip tricks. | | | |
