Ming's move is merciless

I’ve was wondering why all the humans’ belongings were boxed. And then it happened, the ceremonial shoving of me and winnoo into cat boxes. Was it a trip to the V.E.T ?... no it was another move. But this time it was only 15 minutes in the car... the last move being 25 hours, the crossing of two national boundaries, all of which turned into a major competition in leg crossing.

So here’s our new view. Actually it’s a great improvement from Uig but best of all we get to spy on the village people!
The views of the Treshnish and Mull are spec-catular, that is when Mull is visible – an obvious place for a windfarm, a nuclear power station, a plasma fusion reactor and a CO2 sequestration facility... no one would ever see them through the rain.
So, a couple of catcam picies to show you, one of the last yacht of the season? with Lunga and the cliffs of Mull in the background

and another of the fire station last Saturday,

a rare sight as the firemen worked. Sorry, that should read... as the firemen worked furiously to clean all the island’s cars on a sponsored car wash. Coll has never been so shiny. And yes, that is actually JA carrying a bucket. Wot a photo journalist I am, capturing the rarest of events.
Anyhow, I have to go as there are new smells to investigate and the Hotel’s cats Tutti and Fruiti to frighten. Are they male or female? Are they friendly or foe? Are they really living next door and can I creep into the bar to savour a pint and join the growing band in the campaign for real ale on Coll?

Terrible pun for a title but congrats on moving into the Metropolis that is Arinagour. Are there other nice cats and dogs for you to talk to or do they not like yokel cats?

Stewart Kennedy from Dublin

Tooti and fruiti are twin boys and they rock coll! They are the toughest cats on the island! they wont be frightened!!!!

Sara Oliphant from glasgow

I'm sorry Sara but how can two 'tough' boys be called tooti and fruiti? and I'm sorry I didn't know how to spell their girlie names.
But since you're a nice lassy I'll look out for them until you get back home.

Stewart,
Thanks for the comments and it's true, Arinagour is a metropolis for me. I've never lived in a village before (making me the more likely yokel) but I intend to adjust, be sociable and make the most of it. IÂ’ll try to keep you informed, especially about the girlie cats next door that Sara thinks are tough!

Fantastic to see you back on the blog. The west end won't be the same without you.

What happened to cock and co - were they left behind? Glad to see you back on the blog and look forward to finding out how the new life is in Arinagour. Don't let those humans up the road put too much funny juice in your saucer.

p......d from the land of the a plasma fusion reactor and a CO2

Thanks collbirdyman and p......d for the comments. I'll miss the tasty corncrakes next spring but I've convinced myself there is life beyond the west end!
The cock and hens have gone for re-habilitaion to Nic the hotel's yard but the quail have come with me to the village. I reckon it'll be easier to guard them from the village cats than it was from the west end otters and ferrets. Time will tell.
It's another splendid day so I'm off to lie in the sun

Min from the villager

Hey, Ming-y-ming. Lots of new rodents to chase/torture/steal from Winoo in the village?

Thanks for the rat-present when I came to stay - it was touching (thanks for not leaving it where I could stand on it in the night!)

Tooti and Frooti sound like a nice morning snack for a big man-cat like you - go terrorise.

Kirsten from Nasty South

Good to see you back Ming. Aringour may be a metropolis but surely it must be quiter than the west end particularly during corncrake season. I'm not sure moving next to the hotel bar was the wisest move though!

Rob the entomologist from Yorkshire

Where are you Ming? Too busy devouring exhausted Redwings I presume.
Good to see Rob The Bug-boy has made a comment. Remember not to eat all of the humans birthday cake today.
