All work and no play for Lemar
Last updated 11 February 2004

Lemar

It's Brit preview week on Radio 1, and we're showcasing the artists who are up for Best British Breakthrough

Lemar will be appearing on Jo Whiley's show tomorrow (Thursday), and as well as Best British Breakthrough he's also up for Best Urban.

He's one of a few pop stars who we never see rolling out of clubs drunk. He told that he quite likes to keep his private life private and that he's waiting to get a bit more well known before he starts partying hard:

"At the minute they're working me so hard, I don't have too much time to play anyway. So I'm just trying to get myself properly established."

"If the album sells, sells, sells and exceeds my expectations then you might see me stumbling out of one club or two, but I'm more about the work and the music. But if you catch me out and about, you know, it's all good!"
