Busted pay tribute to hardcore fans

It seems Busted enjoyed the free booze the most as they got very lively. They won Best Pop Act and Best Breakthrough Act voted for by Radio 1 listeners, and they couldn't hide their love for the fans:

"Our fans are so hardcore and we love them for that! Seriously!"

"There are a lot of other great acts like the Darkness and Jamie Cullum that we absolutely adore."

"But our fanbase are hardcore and we love them!"

"We genuinely didn't think we'd win this. We seriously thought we are not going to win tonight."

"I was even looking the other way. I was like 'Woah!' Thank you so much!"

Lemar over the moon at meeting the Neptunes

Lemar, meanwhile, was clutching his Best Urban Act award with the biggest grin on his face and was delighted to be congratulated by his heroes as well:

"I'm over the moon. I honestly did not expect it. Wow! It's like my mind went blank. They said 'Lemar' and I was thinking, 'That's me!'"

"I was walking down, I saw Justin, I shook his hand, and there I was in front of the people at the podium with the microphone and the trophy. Pharrell and Chad gave me the award as well. Amazing!"

Basement Jaxx nearly caught out

Basement Jaxx won Best Dance, although they had to be prodded to go up on stage because they weren't paying attention, as Simon and Felix explained:

"We were having a little chat and suddenly we heard 'Basement Jaxx' over the tannoy system, so it was a real shock."

"We didn't expect it at all. Just turned up, so it was a really nice surprise. Very good."

"The award's not engraved because they haven't done that yet. They're a bit slow, the good old British!"
