Experimental chef Stephen Gomes heads up the kitchen at Moksh in Cardiff.

Born and raised in Mumbai, his love for food was passed down from his father, who was also a chef. After working across the globe in the Middle East, South Africa and Bangladesh, Stephen has been cooking in the UK for over 16 years.

Combining modernist cuisine with traditional Indian flavours, Stephen has won UK Indian Chef of the Year six times and has recently been awarded an AA Rosette.

The main inspiration for his menu is his mum, followed by the values and activities of the WI.
