Ashley Clark is a film programmer, broadcast journalist and film critic for publications including Sight & Sound, Vice and The Guardian. He is the programmer of Black Star at BFI Southbank, a major season dedicated to exploring the range, power and versatility of black actors.

Ashley's favourite movie is Paris, Texas if you asked him on one day; Do The Right Thing on another. If he had to cast somebody to play him in a movie of his life it’d be Kid Creole because he looks like he'd be up to the task. The Coconuts can play his friends and family if they wish.
