(Presenter)

What’s it like to be part of the Bargain Hunt presenting team?

Very exciting and I love being part of such a friendly and efficient team. It's like a family!

How do you find life on the road?

I really enjoy visiting the different venues and meeting such a diverse and interesting selection of people.

What is the favourite part of your role?

Engaging with the contestants and the auctioneers.

Why did you choose a career in antiques?

By chance, and then really being taken in by the history of the objects, particularly the furniture.

What would you do for a living if you weren’t working in the antiques trade?

If I were much better, and 50 years younger, I would like to have been a professional cricketer!

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to work in antiques?

Only go into the antique trade if you are truly passionate about the objects.

How did you get involved in Bargain Hunt?

One of the team said that I would enjoy the experience and suggested that I had a go, and so I did!

Who has been your most memorable Bargain Hunt team?

Difficult, I think the lovely actor/actress combination from one of our Kingston programmes. He was in the middle of a tour of Shrek, playing the lead, and she was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

What has been your best ever Bargain Hunt find?

Not really mine, but my team chose a Chinese teapot for under £50 which sold for over £500! Losses, too many to mention!

Which fairs do you particularly like shopping at when ‘bargain hunting’?

I enjoy them all.

What’s the most profit/greatest loss you’ve made at auction?

On Bargain Hunt? The teapot.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

Spending too much on a really good bottle of wine!

How do you spend your free time?

Trying to sing and occasionally act.

Do you collect anything?

Grandchildren!

Why do you think Bargain Hunt has such appeal?

Because of it's warmth and it's lack of aggression, a rare thing these days!

Why would you encourage anyone to appear on Bargain Hunt?

Because they will NEVER forget the experience.
