Daniel Heffy
Born and raised in Liverpool, Daniel Heffy began his culinary journey at the age of 16, while working on HMS Mounts Bay and HMS Iron Duke as part of the Sea Cadets.

After completing a culinary course at college, he honed his skills under Wirral chef Paul Askew, learning to combine local produce with fine dining techniques.
Daniel went on to establish several of the city’s notable food ventures, including The Art School Restaurant with Paul Askew, founding the cult supper club Secret Diners Club, and running the local favourite Buyers Club.
In 2017, Daniel moved to Stockholm to work at Frantzén, one of the world’s most acclaimed three-Michelin-starred restaurants. He then joined the Nordic restaurant Adam/Albin as Head Chef, helping the restaurant secure its Michelin star.
Returning to his hometown, Daniel launched NORD in 2023 in partnership with GSG Hospitality, one of the North’s leading independent hospitality groups. Drawing on his experiences across the UK and Scandinavia, NORD celebrates Northern heritage and hospitality, sourcing ingredients from local suppliers and championing seasonal produce.
