Exose Grant
Born in London and raised in Manchester, Exose Grant began his culinary journey with a job in a local sandwich shop, which gave him his first hands-on experience with food service.

Inspired by his mother, a single parent who nurtured his early love of cooking, he developed a passion for food and the creativity it allowed. At 18, he started his first professional chef role at James Martin, Manchester, where he spent four years refining his skills in both pastry and fine dining.
At 22, Exose competed on MasterChef: The Professionals 2019, reaching the final and gaining national recognition for his creativity, technical skill, and bold flavour combinations.
Following lockdown, he launched Exose at Home, a private dining and catering business offering bespoke meals, celebration cakes, and events, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2023, Exose launched Ikaro Manchester, a seafood and grill restaurant; the venue closed in 2024. His cooking draws on his early culinary inspirations - from family-kitchen flavours to fine dining, he aims to deliver food with heart, flair, and personality.
Exose is Head Chef at Australasia Manchester as well as running his private dining business. He has used his creativity to showcase a menu that celebrates the North West and he uses produce grown by his mum.
