The youngest of this year’s lineup at just 19, Maisie danced her way to the top of the Children In Need 2019: Strictly Come Dancing special, proudly taking home the coveted Glitterball. So, can she repeat her success in a whole series?

We all know Maisie best from her long-running role of Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders, starring in the soap from 2008 to 2014, before coming back for a guest stint in 2016 and making a full-time return in January 2018.

But her acting career actually began on the big screen, playing a young Elizabeth Boleyn alongside Scarlett Johansson and Eddie Redmayne in The Other Boleyn Girl. In the same year she made her Albert Square debut, winning a British Soap Awards and Inside Soap Award just one year later.

It's fair to say Maisie's a born performer with plenty of experience - traits that will definitely come in handy in our Ballroom! “I'm hoping that my acting skills will help me on Strictly, because each week is a new performance and a new character for me to sink my teeth into,” she said.
